Daily casualties across central Nigeria exceed attacks on Muslim communities across the entire Western world -yet the New Zealand shootings seem to have garnered more attention – FFK queries

A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has criticised the whole world for giving so much attention to the New Zealand Mosque killing than they give to killings in Nigeria.

The former aviation minister notes that the daily act of terrorism and genocide in Central Nigeria alone, “exceeds that of attacks on Muslim communities across the entire Western world,”  yet no one ever gives it a thought.

He lamented the silence of the  world on terror attacks in Nigeria, where many innocent people are killed or displaced, yet quickly give all their attention when it happens in the West.

Speaking via his Twitter handle on Saturday, Fani-Kayode wrote:

There were more attacks on Christians in Southern Kaduna today with many innocent people killed and their homes burnt. The daily casualties across central Nigeria exceeds that of attacks on Muslim communities across the entire Western world -yet the New Zealand shootings seem to have garnered more attention and concern in one day than the genocide in central Nigeria has been able to do in many years.

Why is this so? Are we not human beings too? Terrorism, genocide, mass murder and ethnic cleansing are daily occurrences in Nigeria yet the world remains silent.
