The Nigeria Police Force wishes to categorically state that IGP did not meant that “Social Media is a technology available to those that are criminal minded” but that social media can also be used by criminal minded persons and people should be wary and careful of this.

2. The Force hereby enjoins all social media practitioners and users to disregard and discountenance the story

3. The Nigeria Police Force is social media friendly and will continue to partner with Social Media practitioners and Users in ensuring adequate protection of Life and Property across the Country.
