Kano Rerun: Should Buhari be blamed for widespread violence and disruption? – Nigerians debate

0

Some Nigerians have urged that President Muhammadu Buhari, should not be blamed for the widespread violence that marred the March 23rd, supplementary polls in Kano state.

According to this group of Nigerians, the Presidenr should be rather hailed for his neutrality in the electoral process and if anyone should be incumbent governor, Abdullahi Ganduje or former governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

This follows reports of widespread violence, disruption, intimidation, mass rigging and ballot snatching that characterized the election. Although the police in Kano have denied reports that the supplementary polls in the state was marred by thuggery and disruption.

Meanwhile, there are others who believe that Buhari, can’t be isolated from the happenings of Kano rerun, as he is very aware and that it happened under his watch.
