Former US president Barack Obama has sympathised with the people of France following the devastating Notre Dame fire.
Recall news surfaced on Monday afternoon that the 850-year-old building was on fire with fears that priceless artefacts have all been destroyed.
Sympathizing with the people of France, Obama took to social media to share a photo of him and his family in the Notre Dame cathedral, back in 2009 and wrote:
Notre Dame is one of the world’s great treasures, and we’re thinking of the people of France in your time of grief. It’s in our nature to mourn when we see history lost – but it’s also in our nature to rebuild for tomorrow, as strong as we can.?
