Peter Obi’s accounts have been frozen – PDP cries out

7

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has raised the alarm that the accounts of Peter Obi, the running mate to its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, have been frozen.

The opposition party made this known, in a statement on Saturday via social media.

Apart from freezing the account of the former Anambra state governor, the PDP also accused the APC, of sponsoring ”all manner of threats and blackmail, including threats to his life and those of his wife and children”, since Obi, was named as its VP candidate.

The PDP, further accused the APC of resorting to all sorts of attacks, directly and indirectly, in order to run down its presidential candidate and his vice, because they know that Nigerians have accepted them.

See statement below

Freezing of Peter Obi’s Account: We condemn in strong terms the stoppage of transactions on all accounts belonging to our Vice presidential candidate, Peter Obi, wife, his family members and their businesses by agencies of the Muhammadu Buhari failed administration.

Since his nomination as PDP Vice Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi has received all manner of threats and blackmail, including threats to his life and those of his wife and children by agents of the failed and discredited APC.

Having realized that Nigerians are rallying behind Atiku and Obi as the next President and Vice President respectively, Buhari and the failed APC have resorted to all manner of machinations and direct attacks on their persons and business in a bid to run them down.

All discerning Nigerians know that the reasons for an investigation on a man like Obi, is a journey to no where but is aimed at stifling him of funds as well as attempt to distract our campaign and divert attention from the failures of the @MBuhari administration.
